Keep in mind that if something goes seriously wrong with an event or it doesn't come close to meeting expectations the Boss is the one who will take the fall, so it's human nature that they will be a little protective at times with the execution of the event. This doesn't mean team members should not give feedback or bring ideas to the table, on the contrary the boss wants to ensure client expectations are met so if you can communicate WHY your idea is the best course of action a good lead will likely take it under serious consideration. Always be thinking about how you can best communicate your ideas.
