Zudem kann es förderlich sein, sich als ModeratorIn zum Start das ausdrückliche Einverständnis der Teilnehmenden einzuholen, eingreifen zu dürfen, wenn - wohlmöglich im hitzigen Diskutier-Eifer - doch einmal das Sachthema aus dem Blick und persönliche Befindlichkeit in den Vordergrund gerät.

The moderator who is conducting the debate has to remain in control. At times leading the debate as well as directing the debate helps to address the main points to be debated. A time limit for each segment of points also helps to structure the debate to the subject being debated. The challenge is to stay focused on moderating without being a part of the debate with the panel. Hosting means using open questions to the panel while minimizing personal or disrespectful comments being a part of the debates. One person at a time approach. If need be heated debates have to move on quickly to the next subject to be debated or controlled effectively to bring order to the panel

Listen Actively is crucial because it helps everyone feel heard and respected, which can calm tension and lead to more productive discussions and repeating back what you have heard to ensure clarity and you build trust and show fairness. This way you can keep the debate balanced and respectful, making it easier to manage even heated exchanges.

Listening attentively will allow you to understand the topic more clearly and identify the underlying facts and myths for fair judgement

While listening is important for that patience is very critical. Only by the patience you can bring out best debates. The level of patience is tested by you remaining calm when the other person does the exact opposite of what is correct & you know the exact right way but still you remain calm

Sätze wie: „mit Blick auf die Uhr…“ helfen dabei andere Teilnehmende einzugrenzen. Außerdem notiere ich mir die Reihenfolge der Wortmeldungen auf meiner Moderationskarte, damit es gerecht zugeht.

Always the anchor should not pitch one participant with another thro his questions. There can be both direct & indirect questions. As a moderator you should bring back the directions of debate to the agenda

On the other hand, the other person's need, that is, his pain, can complement yours.
