In my opinion it starts with choosing the right team that fully aware of its own capabilities and limits and its members are honest enough to say if they cannot do it or donot know how, as acceptance to do the task is the first step of doing the task and emplies that your staff is a responsible one, another thing distribute tasks in a meeting with the team not one to one to have full acceptance of roles and held them accountable

Additionally, create regular opportunities for team members to voice their concerns, such as during team meetings or through anonymous feedback channels. Encourage a culture where everyone feels safe to express their views without fear of judgment. By combining these training initiatives with an open communication culture, you can ensure that workload distribution concerns are addressed efficiently.

One of the young nurses spoke up in a staff meeting about an issue the most experienced had remained tight lipped about. Her suggestions were workable and candor refreshing. After the meeting, I offered that nurse a charge position. She is now the Director of Operative Services at my institution, a large Level I Trauma Center. Don’t be afraid of enacting a policy change. Bring one new policy that directly affects your department. Summarize the contents for brevity and ask for suggestions on whether your staff are satisfied with the policy or how it could better reflect what is being done on your unit. Policies have to be revised anyway. So bring them to those that are affected by them and revise them for clarity or update them to better reflect current practice. Your staff will be better practitioners for your institution and model that practice for outside agencies like Joint Commission.

We all know that healthcare can be demanding, and it's easy for things to get out of balance. I like to make sure everyone feels comfortable coming to me – or to each other – if they're feeling overwhelmed. My door is always open. Literally and figuratively. If someone has something to say drop me an email, or set up a time to chat. No topic is off-limits. I trust the judgment of my team. They're the experts in their roles. I love when my team speaks up. Don't let things fester. If they have a concern, we address it together. Lastly, I encourage solution-oriented discussions, lets always close a discussion with a "here's what we're going to do," even if it's a "we'll talk tomorrow about this" - and we'll both share the burden.
