I've found an amazing way to boost my productivity and creativity! It's all about changing up my workspace. First, I make sure my workspace is clean and perfectly organized — and the impact on my creativity is out of this world! Then, I mix things up by moving my table and chair to different spots. Sometimes I'll even work on my balcony with my back to the wall, just to breathe and relax. But the real secret weapon is leaving my home office and heading to a book cafe or a serene spot outside. Snacking on something tasty while I work in a new environment is pure magic. Trust me, it works every single time!

Last year, during a big creative strategy session, my team and I hit a wall and couldn't come up with new ideas. Everyone was frustrated. Seeing this, I decided we needed a break and took the team to a nearby park. At first, they were unsure, but as we sat under an oak tree and chatted about non-work stuff, everyone relaxed. I then asked each person to find a small object in the park and think of how it could relate to our project. This simple exercise sparked our creativity again. We returned to the office refreshed and soon developed a new strategy the client loved. This taught me the value of taking a break to let creativity flow.

This is the perfect time to mix it up. When I get stuck, I’ll go for a walk, take a 5 min dance break* or make time in my calendar to go to a museum or art exhibit. It’s important to allow ourselves to be humbled by nature and talent when we need to seek outside inspiration ( *I actually have a playlist I cue up for exactly these scenarios that’s done wonders for getting me out of my head)
