In my experience in deployment of IoT Temperature monitoring systems in mobile/static refrigeration applications, fully understanding the requirements is essential, and this applies for both the IoT provider but also the End User. For instance, latency and frequency transmission are essential to define the appropriate connectivity technology /cost of the solution. In many applications low frequency transmission is sufficient, but this fact it is not obvious for end users who generally requires "real time data" at first. Inspection of real needs about end user legacy systems eventually discovers that most of the times only data registering (with no-alarms status) plus IoT data analysis is what the business needs.

Define clear objectives from the beginning (Customer and Provider). What is the goal, and what are the metrics to measure success. Test your devices in the ENVIRONMENT in which they will be operated. Full End-to-end testing in varying conditions. Eat, sleep, end-to-end test, repeat.

One thing I found is to get the effective test we need to define our objectives and it's relevant key performance indicators. Like what we are trying to achieve from its test. According to that we need to select the testing method.

In my view, requirements are very tighly.coupled with the use case and need to be as thorough and well.documented. the requirements also need to be worded to conaider scalability and extension of the usecase in future. Need to consider efficacy, reliability, environment, deployment ecosystem as part of requirements.

For verifying different test conditions, need synthetic data. The real challenge is to plan such data gathering, tools usage, and linking it appropriately in ETL sense, by keeping an eye on not getting false positives out of this
