Such interactions are invaluable for gaining insights into the inclusivity of services provided and identifying potential areas for enhancement. Moreover, a detailed review of organizational policies, procedures, and practices is imperative. This review should focus on identifying systemic barriers to inclusivity and determining the effectiveness of current diversity and inclusion initiatives. It is important to ensure that these policies not only exist but are also actively implemented and contribute to the creation of an equitable healthcare environment.

Health leaders like doctors and nurses can't do it alone. They must work with professional managers and people managers to make everything inclusive.

Having a better DEI is very important in today's scenario. We cannot get the information only from a specific range of people from the management. Today anyone & everyone can contribute towards meeting the organization's objectives. Thus assessing our current state, where we are, how we can excel, what our limiting beliefs are etc.., we can hire a good coach or request management to help us with a good coach to help us navigate where we wish to travel.

En un centro de salud el paciente debe ser tratado muy bien, ademas de tener la seguridad que recibirá el mejor tratamiento medico. Es un tema de cultura, estar enfermo no quiere decir que no tenga otras necesidades ! La inclusion cultural es clave, hay pacientes de otras regiones, diferentes creencias, personalidades ,estados de animo, gustos. Los profesionales deben entenderlos a todos , y cubrir diferentes necesidades ademas de las fisicas, religiosas, eticas ,espirituales. Muy complejo en entidades de salud pues sus profesionales ademas de estar técnicamente muy bien preparados, tienen que estar fisica ,espiritual mentalmente muy fuertes ; abiertos a apoyar en diversos aspectos emocionales y culturales a sus “clientes “

My experience has shown that such a plan not only improves patient outcomes but fosters a culture of respect and understanding across the organization.

To have a better action plan, there should be certain elements which the professional has to work on which are Long term goals Short term goals Clear milestones Specific time limits Relevant plans Monitoring the progress Mentor or coach support if needed By this process certainly the action plans would be brought in. This will give good clarity for people.

Continuous learning is not only for one sector of people. Learning is for a continuous improvement process. Just by going to the office and working hard will not be fetching results. We need to be relevant & for that we need to learn. It can be physical or virtual learning but it has to happen without any external force. The interest has to come within. It will make a professional a very confident personality.

The importance of feedback for your personal and professional growth cannot be overstated. It needs to be real and constructive, with suggestions for improvement. It would always be a good idea to get some coaching so that with guidance and questions you can figure out what your goals are and how you will accomplish them. Then you can assess your way forward and try a different approach or perspective.

While giving Feed-forward it has to make other people listen, take it seriously & incorporate. While listening to Feed-forward hyper-focus is important & asking questions when needed. Hay formas de medir la satisfaccion del cliente como sonreir, ser amables que cambian y hacen que la experiencia para el paciente sea muy distinta. Nada peor que una persona amargada o negativa trabajando en el sector salud. Un coach o asesor que logre sonrisas el los pacientes de su coachee, puede considerarse el mejor.

I think a short and simple answer would be making sure healthcare leaders are including employees, from all areas of the organization, in the conversations on what diversity means and looks like to them. If all voices are not being heard, healthcare systems will miss the mark in aiming to make sure they’re creating an organization that is inclusive.

All the shared responses are correct. Another thing to consider is rest. Does the workflow allow room for rest? Do policies and procedures allow breaks ? My leadership and management experience has shown that when team members have time to decompress, they are more open to collaborate and problem solve. Having equity in decision making and ownership of their roles is seen in patient outcomes and better functioning teams.

In the learning gammat the health care professionals should also learn about having a better work life balance (WLB) & importance of engaging people across all levels, functions, designations & geographical locations. The acceptance should be there. DEI is also equally important in today's world. But WLB should be taken seriously.
