I couldn’t agree more. One’s ability to “pivot” is in reality a testament to their flexibility and capacity for growth. Growing requires us to be able and willing to try new things, even though we haven’t yet mastered them.

One thing that I have seen is to ensure that you focus on the good developed in the past during your career. Most of the time focus is on the negative for improving. This is an option that focuses on the negative to repair or enhance. My insight is to refrain focus on the good and enhance. This provides for the opportunity to start with the good an move toward better. When we we refrain starting with the positive self-efficacy is enhanced therefore enhancing self esteem. As we learn to "Think Again," as Adam Grant writes in book we learn to let go and motify as needed.
