A team is made out of people coming from different upbringing and backgrounds. They come with varying degree of knowledge, skills, and abilities. A leader needs to accept and understand individual differences. Each individual has strengths and weaknesses. Capitalizing on individual strengths will lead to improved efficiency. Team testing of Psychological temperaments might help. I tested a team in fun using Keirsey’s Temperament sorter and the result is improved staff morale and understanding of their peers. It was satisfying to listen to staff tailor made their communication with peers based on psychological type.
