Kyle Kunkler is a J.D. candidate in the evening program. He is interested in algorithmic justice and transparency in public benefits, healthcare, and other essential services. In the summer of 2024, he worked with the Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC), studying current litigation trends about affirmative disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and how improved public-facing recordkeeping by agencies can make requesting records under FOIA more efficient and accessible. Kyle also works full-time in the Georgetown Law Office of Development and is employed part-time as a law clerk with Deutsch Hunt PLLC, where he assists partners with researching and editing appellate and Supreme Court briefs.

Kyle graduated cum laude with a B.A. from Knox College in 2015. Before law school, he worked as a musician and composer focusing on keyboards, synthesizers, and computer programming languages for audio synthesis. He continues to write and produce in his free time and performs internationally as a member of the Chicago-based metal band Outrun the Sunlight.
