Crowdfunding in the spotlight:
Henri, Mathieu and Laurens, three athletic men from Kortrijk, are in full preparation for their participation in the Frankfurt Ironman in August. They are doing this to benefit the Fund for research in structural and congenital heart disease. During their student days, they lost a friend to sudden heart failure.
An ALS drug, a matter of time?
For almost 30 years, researchers at the Laboratory of Neurobiology have been trying to identify the causes of ALS. The support of patronage is crucial in this regard, says Professor Ludo Van Den Bosch. That support comes, among others, from Opening the future, the major giving initiative of KU Leuven.
