KMBC 9 and KGKC announce groundbreaking weather partnership to serve Kansas City's Spanish-speaking residents

KMBC 9, the Hearst Television-owned ABC affiliate for Kansas City, and KGKC, the SagamoreHill Broadcasting-owned Telemundo affiliate for Kansas City, announced a new weather partnership today. This joint endeavor aligns with the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month and is aimed at providing crucial weather information to Kansas City’s Spanish-speaking community. Until now, a daily local weather forecast in Spanish for Kansas City did not exist.
KMBC 9 First Alert Weather, recognized as Kansas City’s largest and most experienced forecasting team, will pledge its advanced technology and precision forecasting models to KGKC as part of the partnership. This collaboration ensures that the “Primera Alerta” weather reports delivered to the Spanish-speaking viewers of Telemundo are as accurate and timely as possible.
