The stuntman-turned-director, who will receive the Maverick Award at this year's IndieWire Honors, tells IndieWire about how a fresh approach led to revitalized genre films like his "John Wick" franchise.
"The audiences we tested with absolutely preferred the ambiguous ending," the director said.
