He wrote for Vulture, The Cut, and BuzzFeed News before joining the team at Entertainment Weekly right as it transitioned into becoming a monthly magazine. Marcus is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists and the Latino Entertainment Journalists Association. One of his primary focuses throughout his career in journalism has been tracking the progress of diversity and inclusion within awards bodies, and Hollywood as a whole. He likes to joke that off-duty, he will watch any film or TV show where someone has a drink thrown at them. Follow Marcus on Twitter @marcus_jones and on Instagram @MarcusJonesNY.
