Kevin Feige assured fans that an X-Men reboot was in the works shortly after Disney acquired 20th Century Fox's assets back in 2019, and we've only recently begun to get some official updates on the project.
Michael Lesslie is set to pen the script, and there's speculation that we may find out who will direct the movie during the Marvel Studios panel at San Diego Comic-Con tomorrow night.
During an interview with Discussing Film, Feige was asked how it feels knowing that "we’re closer to seeing the X-Men and Avengers together on the big screen."
"It is extremely emotional, on a personal level, to have done a movie with Hugh after 25 years and me being a small part of that first X-Men movie. And knowing that, thanks to various corporate studio entity deals, we now have 1000s of characters back — characters I hadn’t frankly thought about in many...

Marvel boss Kevin Feige has praised Hugh Jackman for bringing a "darker element" to his superhero in 'Deadpool and Wolverine'.The 55-year-old star has reprised his role of Wolverine for the first time since 2017's 'Logan' and even after playing the mutant on and off since 2000's 'X-Men', the studio chief is impressed the actor is still able to find new sides to his alter ego.Speaking to ScreenRant, he said: "On a deeper level, I think he has said that he taps into a darker element of the character, which is not necessarily apparent in the fun footage that you've seen in trailers. "But when you see the movie, there's a darkness that always comes with the Wolverine character from the comics that is touched on in certain of the previous movies, but is delved into in this one in a way that really takes you to,...

We're expecting some big Marvel news this weekend at San Diego Comic-Con, but before the madness kicks-off, there are several intriguing McU-related rumors doing the rounds online.
We'll start with Spider-Man 4, which is still quite a while away and may not even factor into Sdcc at all - however, rumors continue to swirl that original Spider-Man trilogy director Sam Raimi is being looked at to helm the No Way Home follow-up.
During the latest Hot Mic podcast, co-host John Rocha said he's heard that Justin Lin (the Fast and Furious movies) might still be in the mix, but Jeff Sneider doesn't expect the studio to settle on a director until the script is complete (which it could well be and we just haven't heard anything yet).
Mttsh has also shared a few rumors, and she's heard that Chris Evans is now locked in to reprise the role of Steve Rogers for Avengers: Secret Wars.

Ever since Disney acquired Fox in 2019, fans have been wishing to see their beloved X-Men characters join the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Slowly but surely, this is already happening with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine.

Now, a new update from an industry insider seemingly confirms three mutants to join the league in the upcoming reboot movie. However, one popular choice seems to be missing from the list.

Earlier this year, we learned that The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes writer Michael Lesslie had been tapped by Marvel Studios to write its upcoming X-Men reboot.
Now, with Comic-Con just days away, the movie may be officially announced. The timing feels right with Deadpool & Wolverine in theaters but have three members of the team been revealed?
According to scooper @MyTimeToShineH, yes! For obvious reasons, we'd suggest taking this report with a grain of salt. However, they claim that Angel, Iceman, and Jubilee will be in Marvel Studios' X-Men movie.
Taking this rumour at face value, it makes sense. Angel and Iceman are both founding members of the team in the comics and neither really got their due on Fox's watch. The ball was dropped on Warren Worthington III in both X-Men: The Last Stand and X-Men: Apocalypse, while Bobby Drake was largely relegated to being Rogue's love interest.

Even though "Deadpool & Wolverine" will be arriving in theaters this weekend to rake in millions of box office dollars with its meta mutant multiverse mayhem merging with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, let's not forget that "X-Men '97" became one of the best things Marvel Studios has produced since "Avengers: Endgame." Granted, that's not exactly a high bar to clear, with a lot of troubled, flawed productions arriving in multiplexes and on Disney+, but since it had to live up the expectations of fans who loved the original "X-Men: The Animated Series," the show had to spark a certain level of nostalgia while also bringing the series into the 21st century, and it succeeded with flying colors.

Chadwick Boseman bestowed Marvel buffs with perhaps one of the most iconic superheroes in the treasure trove of the MCU. The late actor – who portrayed the eponymous character in Black Panther – is ubiquitously cherished by fans even today, over half a decade after his debut as the regal and peerless T’Challa. And rightly so.

Surprisingly enough, we almost didn’t get the cinematic masterpiece helmed by Ryan Coogler owing to a former Marvel executive’s controversially outmoded beliefs who threw his weight behind an all-white male Avengers lineup and was hell-bent on foisting obsolete ways on the studio. In a twist of fate, however, the said exec has now bid farewell to his entire stake at Disney.

The Emmys often gravitate towards established favorites in their nominations for Best Animated Program, as evidenced by the constant recognition of 35-year-old stalwart “The Simpsons,” which won for the 12th time in 2023. It can be a challenge for new shows to get on voters’ radar. But when they do break through with hard-fought nominations, in recent years the academy has been drawn to the shiny new objects. Perhaps that’s why this year’s front-runners, according to our early racetrack odds, are first-time nominees “X-Men ’97” (for the episode “Remember It”) and “Blue Eye Samurai” (for the episode “The Tale of the Ronin and the Bride”).

Marvel Studios is just a few days away from releasing its first R-rated superhero movie within the MCU, “Deadpool & Wolverine,” but for even longer, we expected the first R-rated Marvel movie to hit theaters would be its reboot of “Blade” starring Mahershala Ali.
Marvel chief Kevin Feige first announced a “Blade” reboot back in 2019 with Ali attached to star, and the character was even teased in the post-credits of 2021’s “Eternals,” a would-be franchise that now seems forgotten.
“Blade” has been through many starts and stops, with several writers and directors filtering through and with delays because of the writers strike and more. Through it all, the franchise’s original stars Wesley Snipes and Stephen Dorff haven’t refrained from talking about it.
But Feige in an interview over the weekend ahead of “Deadpool & Wolverine” gave a short update about the status of “Blade.”

What kind of villain could force Deadpool and Wolverine to team up? Well, in the upcoming 2024 flick at least, it'll be Cassandra Nova (played by Emma Corrin). The evil twin sister of Charles Xavier (sort of), Cassandra is her brother's polar opposite: a genocidal evildoer who delights in snuffing out mutant lives and the dreams they carry. Her mutant powers also eclipse her brother's; she's not just a telepath, but a telekinetic with regenerative abilities.
Cassandra was introduced in "New X-Men" by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. She was the villain of the first two arcs (12 issues) of the series, "E is for Extinction" and "Imperial." Few super-villains have made a more terrifying first impression.
If you watched this year's animated "X-Men '97," then your jaw probably dropped in episode 5, "Remember It," when mutant nation Genosha gets razed to the ground by Sentinels, just as it was in "E is for Extinction.

When it comes to making good and successful projects, it is safe to trust Beau DeMayo’s judgment. Although he has been an important part of the film industry for years, he has recently been thrown into the limelight after he was fired from X-Men ’97 as creator for reasons unknown to fans.
Despite the controversy, he has proven his talent and understanding of the Marvel Universe, as a whole, on several occasions. However, his most recent idea may be the strongest one yet. Audiences are always looking for more characters that can come from the comics in the cinematic universe and which actors would be perfect for said roles.

The One Piece anime has added yet another jewel to its crown of success by securing the top spot on the ‘highest-rated TV show on IMDb from the first half of 2024’ list. The series has been dominating the charts for 25 years, but this new achievement takes its triumph to the next level, as the series has beaten many other prominent shows for this spot.

In some recent interviews for the upcoming Marvel movie “Deadpool & Wolverine,” the president of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige answered some questions fans have about other characters and storylines.
When asked if the character Gambit from the X-Men comics might show up in a live-action movie someday, especially since people liked his plot in the show “X-Men ’97,” Feige couldn’t say for sure. His response was kind of a letdown for Gambit fans.
Feige also talked about something called an “anchor point” from the show. This is an idea that’s got people speculating a lot. But he said viewers haven’t been introduced to the real anchor point yet in the episodes so far. Feige seems to think it’s cool how fans are already buzzing about this term before even seeing the full context.
These answers show the back-and-forth Marvel has with its followers. While Feige can’t spill all the details,...

Between 2019’s Avengers: Endgame and the upcoming two films namely Avengers 5 and Avengers 6 which will release in 2026 and 2027 respectively, the Marvel franchise has developed a whole new set of narratives. Phase 5 has also seen many other MCU superheroes and supervillains coming to the forefront following the exit of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Chris Evans’ Captain America.
A still from Avengers: Endgame (image credit: Marvel)
This huge playing field of characters who could potentially be a part of the future Avengers films, could also pose a problem for Kevin Feige and team. IMDb is a website where you can find info about movies, shows, and more. It has details like cast, crew, plot summaries, ratings, and reviews. People can register to contribute and edit info. It is, by farm the most popular review site of them all and is in many cases the ultimate reference point for most Internet users.
It has the largest movie database on the internet and while the ratings are user-generated, it also links official reviews and has a section for external reviewers. IMDb is by far the most commonly used reference point when movie reviews are concerned, which is why we are consulting it here as well.
Namely, IMDb has recently released its list of the top 10 shows of 2024 so far, and we have decided to present this list to you, starting with the 10th place and continuing until the 1st-placed show. We are going to comment...

Since the very first moment Disney began considering acquiring 20th Century Fox, fans have been over the moon at the thought of the X-Men joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. We’re still a ways off from a proper X-Men movie, but Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige spoke to io9 about the sheer amount of characters they have at their disposal to bring into the MCU.
“Well, it’s that phrase we use often at Marvel, which is ‘It’s an embarrassment of riches,’” Feige said. “And there are a lot of great X-Men characters in the Deadpool & Wolverine film. There are a lot of great X-Men characters in all of the Fox versions of the X-Men films. And there are a lot of great X-Men characters that have never gone on the big screen. So I think as we always try to do, as we did when we made the arrangement with Sony for Spider-Man,...

With Deadpool & Wolverine less than a week from arriving in theaters for Thursday evening previews, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige is doing the rounds to hype up the McU's future.
He'll be in San Diego next Saturday for what's sure to be a must-see Hall H panel, of course, and we're expecting big Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars news. However, when Inverse caught up with Feige, they asked about recent reports suggesting the Russo Brothers are in line to helm those movies.
"No, I can’t comment on it except to say it was somebody else a couple of weeks ago and I look forward to seeing who it is going to be next week," he teased. "We’ll see."
In a separate conversation with io9, Feige was pushed for news on Spider-Man 4. Rumours about a possible director swirled for months, but things have been quiet on that front lately.

“Joe and Anthony Russo will return.”
The Hollywood Reporter reports that Marvel is now in talks to bring Joe and Anthony Russo back as directors of Avengers 5 and 6. The Russos helmed some of the franchise’s biggest hits, including Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. The Hollywood Reporter notes that the discussions are still in early phases, but they seem to be on their way.
Given the success of those films, and the difficulty that MCU head Kevin Fiege has had finding someone to helm the next Avengers movies, having gone through Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘s Destin Daniel Cretton and Shawn Levy of Deadpool & Wolverine, the Russos’ return seems like a no brainer. After all, they’re a very safe pair of hands when it comes to these sorts of massive, franchise-defining blockbusters. However, there is also risk here. Feige might do well to...

“You’ve got the wrong guy,” sneers Wolverine in the latest and final trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine.
“You were always the wrong guy,” comes the rejoinder, which would have been powerful said by anyone, but gets all the more cutting because of who delivered it: Laura aka X-23, once again played by Dafne Keen.
Ever since Hugh Jackman announced his return to the world of superheroes as Wolverine, fans have worried about the sanctity of his last outing, Logan. In addition to fully embracing the themes of regret and violence that have always driven Wolverine, Logan gave the hero a moving and well-deserved ending that seemed permanent when Jackman announced his retirement from the character.

Every year, the Television Academy’s Emmy nominations honor hundreds of individuals , dozens of shows and inspire enough material for a week’s worth of trend pieces. Sorting through it all is daunting, which is why Variety TV critics Alison Herman and Aramide Tinubu convened to give their big-picture thoughts on the nominations , from breakout shows to the larger forces shaping the field.
Alison Herman: Aramide, this was always going to be a weird year for the Emmys — after all, the last Emmys happened just six months ago! That January ceremony had been delayed by Hollywood’s historic dual strikes, which also pushed several awards-staple series outside this year’s eligibility window. Throw in the power vacuum left behind by “Succession” wrapping its run and you have a relatively blank slate. Given the Academy’s propensity to rally around just a handful of favorites each year, á la “Ted Lasso,...

Blue Eye Samurai is the perfect example of the power of animation. The series perfectly showcases the capabilities of the medium in the right hands, with talented animators, and the appropriate funding. The series has an approach that perfectly balances storytelling and identifying its unique animation style.

Audiences enjoyed every second of it, and critics labeled it as one of the best works to come out of Netflix. It is safe to say that the world feels very strongly about the series. However, many would be surprised to know that fans rank the series as one of the best-animated pieces of work of all time, giving it higher importance than even X-Men ’97.

The long-running anime series "One Piece" has emerged as the highest-rated TV show of 2024 so far, according to IMDb user ratings. The Toei Animation series—which first aired in 1999 and has more than 1,100 episodes under its belt—secured the top spot with an impressive rating of 9.0 out of 10.
The top 10 list features a diverse range of shows, including historical dramas, superhero series, and critically acclaimed comedies, and had an relatively even distribution across major streaming platforms Hulu, Prime Video, Netflix, and Max.
1. “One Piece”
2. “Shōgun”
3. “X-Men ’97”
4. “The Bear”
5. “Fallout”
6. “The Boys”
7. “House of the Dragon”
8. “True Detective”
9. “One Day”
10. “The Gentlemen”
Six of the top-rated shows received Emmy nominations yesterday, further solidifying their popularity among both audiences and critics. Additionally, the list highlights the growing influence of animated series, with "X-Men '97" joining "One Piece" in the top 10.
To qualify for the Top-Rated Shows of 2024 list, series had to have season premieres from January 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024 and meet a minimum threshold of votes in that time frame. While the rankings are subject to change as more shows premiere throughout the year, the current list serves as a sampling of what could appear in the top lists at the end of the year.

While the 2023 Emmys occurred earlier this year (due to the SAG strikes), they have returned to their usual place in the calendar. A quick reminder that series like House of the Dragon and The Boys are not eligible for this year’s Emmys. The window for the competition ran from June of 2023 to May of 2024. Additionally, The Bear‘s nominations are in reference to Season 2, not the most recent season on Hulu. With some of that housekeeping done, we have plenty of great shows and news to check out. Below are a handful of notes about programs our audience loves and a further breakdown of big categories.
Shōgun Leads the Field

Awards season may well be over on the film front for another year, but on the TV front, the race for golden statue glory is far from over. Earlier today at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, the nominees for the 76th Emmy Awards were announced in a live ceremony fronted by Emmy winners Tony Hale and Sheryl Lee Ralph alongside Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego. And leading the pack on the nominations front this time around? That'd be feudal Japanese epic Shōgun which, after a dramatic pivot from Limited Series to Drama after news of the series' surprise renewal, has bagged 25 nominations, including nods for stars Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai as well as shouts for Outstanding Drama, Writing, Direction, and much more besides.

The Emmy nominations were just announced, and it looks like the FX samurai drama “Shogun” has a big lead in the behind-the-scenes categories this year. It got an impressive 16 nominations! “Shogun” is all about feudal Japan, and the creators worked really hard to make everything from the costumes to sets look super realistic for the time period.
Coming in close behind with 13 nominations each were “Fallout,” a video game adaptation on Amazon, HBO’s “True Detective: Night Country,” and the popular comedy “Only Murders in the Building” on Hulu. Netflix’s royal drama “The Crown” and FX’s funny restaurant show “The Bear” also did well with 9 nominations each.
Some of “Shogun’s” coolest nominations were for things like production design, costumes, cinematography (how it’s filmed), editing, makeup, music, and visual effects. Those categories really reward shows that put a lot of attention into historical accuracy and small details.

“Shōgun,” FX’s buzzy samurai drama of feudal Japan created by Rachel Kondo and Justin Marks, led all Emmys craft categories July 17 with 16 nominations. Next came “Fallout” (Prime Video), “True Detective: Night Country” (HBO), and “Only Murders in the Building” (Hulu) with 13 noms each.

Following an abysmal run with disappointing shows and films, Marvel gave us a major banger this year with X-Men ’97. Despite not being set in the primary timeline, the Kevin Feige studio hit it out of the park with this one. With its mature storyline and an eye-pleasing nostalgic 2D animation style, the animated show established itself as one of the best Marvel projects in years.

X-Men storylines have always boasted maturity and have earned praise for symbolizing real-world problems. Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm’s Star Wars were at a lull this year at the Primetime Emmy noms with five apiece.
While that’s up +2 from Marvel’s count of three last year with the Disney+ series Ms. Marvel, Star Wars‘ tally this year, all for Ahsoka, is off considerably from 2023’s 23 noms, which was fueled by series Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Marvel’s foray into streaming series on Disney+ rallied them to respective heights of 28 noms in 2021 spurred by WandaVision and in 2022 with 19 Emmy noms juiced by Moon Knight, Loki, What If? and Hawkeye.

It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions for Scavengers Reign fans over the last two months. First, the acclaimed animated sci-fi series was canceled by Max after one season. Then its first season got a non-exclusive second run on Netflix while remaining on Max, raising the possibility for more episodes if it does well at its new home.
But when Scavengers Reign debuted on Netflix May 31, it didn’t get the proverbial “Netflix boost” and did not break into the streamer’s weekly Top 10 rankings, dampening hopes for a Season 2 pickup.

That would likely give the show a boost as Netflix makes its decisions based on cost vs.
But when Scavengers Reign debuted on Netflix May 31, it didn’t get the proverbial “Netflix boost” and did not break into the streamer’s weekly Top 10 rankings, dampening hopes for a Season 2 pickup.

Marvel’s Animation team has taken a huge leap in the last few years. With exciting series like What If…? and X-Men 97, the studio looks to be on the upswing. Part of that jump comes from Season 2 of Hit-Monkey, which premiered on July 15th. The story of Monkey, becoming a killer who kills killers, gained acclaim in Season 1. While the series from Josh Gordon and Will Speck was away for a few years, it allowed the team to craft an emotionally satisfying return.

The nominees for the 76th Emmy Awards were announced live from Hollywood this morning, and "The Bear" and "Shōgun" appear to be the shows to beat. The two FX on Hulu series earned a stunning 23 and 25 nominations respectively, with "Shōgun" earning several cast members first-time nominations and "The Bear" breaking the Emmys' all-time-record for the most nods in one year in the comedy category. The show –- which, as genre purists will surely point out, is actually a dramedy that often leans towards drama –- beats previous record holder "30 Rock" by one nomination.
Elsewhere on the ballot, it's clear that the absence of HBO juggernaut "Succession" has left a void in the drama category, one that several shows are vying to fill. Period pieces "The Gilded Age" and "The Crown" put up a good showing, while sci-fi shows "Fallout" and "3 Body Problem" also found a spot in the Best Drama Category.

The Best Superhero Series to Binge this Summer and Where to Watch Them - Main Image
Marvel Studios and DC may be slowing down in their theatrically released projects, but that just means there’s more room for television-focused projects.
Summer has had some great series so far, and while some have wrapped their season, there is still a load of other comic book adaptations on their way to the small screen.
X-Men ’97
June was buzzing as Disney+ had brought back the classic version of the X-Men from the 90s. Picking up from where the original series left off, Beau DeMayo’s take on the Children of the Atom finds the X-Men picking up the pieces after the death of Professor Xavier; that sounds complicated enough as it is, but they’re suddenly faced with having to have the team be run by their oldest nemesis Magneto.

This Wednesday, over 3,300 Gold Derby users will finally come to realize the extent of their savviness in predicting the 2024 Primetime Emmy nominations. As of now, 78% of our generally predicted nominees in 25 categories have the unanimous support of our experts, editors, Top 24 users, and All-Star 24 users, but each of those subgroups retains a few unique ideas as to how the official lineups will turn out.
It’s safe to say that the likeliest surprise nominees are those who are backed by multiple Gold Derby predictor subsets despite not appearing on our main forecasted rosters. This includes editor, top 24, and all-star picks Paul W. Downs and Fumi Nikaido as well as two-list hopefuls Maya Rudolph, Christopher Lloyd, and Finn Bennett.
Most of our generally predicted winners are fully agreed upon, but several deviations are still holding strong. Within the last week, our editors broke from the crowd to champion movie/limited actress...

Before the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Fox’s X-Men franchise was considered the greatest superhero film ever. The series gave a new dimension to the genre, which studios did not take seriously until then. The Patrick Stewart-starrer often gained positive reviews for its action, faithfulness to the source material, and performances.
However, one film from the franchise seemingly began its downfall as it was negatively received by fans. X-Men: The Last Stand is often regarded as one of the worst in the franchise due to its unfocused screenplay. Fans still seem to be annoyed at the film for killing off Scott Summers in the first few minutes of the film.

DC might have a bigger and better coterie of memorable simian characters, but Marvel has one-upped them by bringing their most notorious ape anti-hero to lead an animated series, with Hit-Monkey back in 2021, arguably their best animation work in recent years as well. Don’t get us wrong, we loved X-Men’97, but it lacked the raw style and unadulterated fun that a gun-katana-wielding macaque assassin dressed to the nines can bring to the screen. With a deadly swagger and a kill streak long enough to impress even Baba Yaga and Agent 47, Hulu’s Hit-Monkey is returning with a second season later this week. To get up to speed with the story so far, let us dive into the monkey business.
Spoilers Ahead
The Origin of Hit-Monkey
The story begins with wisecracking, irritably talkative hitman Bryce Fowler, who arrives in Japan to take down a young, promising presidential candidate, Ken Takahara,...

The calls for Marvel to let go of its four-quadrant approach strategy continued all summer, despite the upcoming Deadpool & Wolverine. Around Marvel, challengers for superhero storytelling, like Invincible and The Boys, continue to draw acclaim. Lucky for Marvel, Hit-Monkey returns with a second season, allowing the bloody animated series to occupy that space for them. Almost completely disconnected from the Avengers characters one usually associates with Marvel, Hit-Monkey highlights a unique angle for the studio. It’ll be curious to see if they follow this path, because the results make for an incredibly fun and emotional story.

The 40th annual TCA Awards released its list of winners on Friday ahead of the first in-person ceremony in five years. FX’s “Shōgun” led the winners’ circle, taking home four prizes from the Television Critics Assn. — including individual achievement in drama for Anna Sawai, as well as outstanding achievement in drama, program of the year and new program of the year.
The latest season of Max’s “Hacks” also saw success with Jean Smart taking the award for individual achievement in comedy and the series taking home the outstanding achievement in comedy award, beating out last year’s winner, “The Bear,” and 2022’s winner, “Abbott Elementary.”

It’s been quite a long wait, but the Television Critics Association’s annual TCA Awards returns to an in-person event this year for the first time since 2019. After the Covid-19 pandemic and last year’s Hollywood strikes turned everything virtual for five years, the 40th annual TCA Awards takes place at the Langham Pasadena on July 12, during the half-way point of this summer’s TCA press tour.
And looking to get things back on track is host and critics’ fave Wendi McLendon-Covey.
“No pressure,” she jokes. “But my God, it’s going to feel good to actually get to be in person again have that return to normalcy. I love the TCAs, I love meeting everybody. Maybe I’m a nerd, but I’m looking forward to it.”

The adult animation boom seen over the last few decades has produced some of modern television’s most exciting series. “BoJack Horseman,” “Archer,” “Primal,” “Rick and Morty,“ “Tuca & Bertie,” “Blue Eye Samurai,” and even “X-Men ’97” (just to name a few) all used their limitless medium to push serialized storytelling in new directions. But peak TV also created a slew of exhausting, unimaginative copycats — cheap knockoffs of popular and/or innovative shows that operated under the principle that all they had to do to get laughs was make cartoon characters curse about pop culture. Blame “South Park” for amplifying the shock value of “Kids Say the Darnedest Things” or “Family Guy” for tricking a generation of teens into thinking random movie references were the pinnacle of comedy writing. Either way, you end up here, with a bunch of aimless animated programs served up to subscribers whenever they finish bingeing “American Dad.

2023’s The Marvels was critically and commercia the worst MCU movie thus far. It was the sequel to Captain Marvel, and brought Carol Danvers together with Monica Rambeau and Kamala Khan for an intergalactic adventure that brought them face-to-face with the Kree.

The movie failed to make a profit, but had a post-credit scene that bears a range of consequences with respect to the Multiverse, if used in a forthcoming project. The scene featured Monica Rambeau, or Binary, sporting a quantum band, which opens a range of narrative possibilities for the overall MCU.
Some fans on Reddit only recently came across the scene, but seem resigned to the possibility that it might not pay off for several years, if indeed it does.

There's less than a month to go until D23 ("The Ultimate Disney Fan Event") takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center, and what appears to be the full schedule has now been revealed.
While attendees can look forward to over 230 panels and presentations, it doesn't appear we're getting much in the way of movie announcements. Short of some surprise news in the coming weeks, there's no mention of plans for The Walt Disney Studios, Disney Animation, Pixar, Marvel Studios, or Lucasfilm to be highlighted by the House of Mouse in California.
Marvel Animation will, however, be on hand. Here's how the panel is described:
See what’s coming next to Disney+ from Marvel Animation, with special guests and first looks at hotly anticipated series including Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, Eyes of Wakanda, future seasons of What If...?, X-Men ’97, and more!
On the plus side, Marvel Studios is going to...
