Weapon Strip Level 2

How do you do the weapon strip where u kick da gun backwards out of his hands and shoot him in da back. I press o + L1 but all he ever does is flip'em over his shoulder and shoot them while they're on da ground. How Do you do the other one that they show on the tutorial?

i think youre supposed to hold l1, then press circle then r1.

L1+L2+R1+O i think i would have to play again to know
