Since I first got the game, I never had to play on a thick carpet. There was the carpet in my dorm, but it was that hard, cheap stuff. Before that, my house always had wood or tile floors.
So, I found out playing with the thin, flimsy mat on a thicker carpet is a real pain. It slides around, for one thing. Also, when I stand in the center for the menu screen, the pad sinks into the rug, which causes it to press random buttons. Very annoying.
Has anyone else ever had this problem? How did you fix it?
I was thinking maybe I could get some kind solid mat to put under the pad. Possibly rubber so that it wouldn't be slippery. It would also need to take up as little storage space as possible, because I don't have much of that here, and it would have to be pretty inexpensive. I'm not sure where to start looking for something like that, either.
Anyone have any ideas?
