I just found out two facts about this game. The FMV-filled strategy title Command and Conquer 4 won't provide any LAN or dedicated server support to its players. Additionally the game will need an "always-on" internet connection to play. This means that if you are traveling and you have your laptop with the game you're screwed and can't play unless you happen to find a hot spot in which case the game will work as long as you travel within the signal. When your internet connection finishes the game will close.

What if you want to play the game with a friend over LAN? What if you go to a friends house to play the game but he doesn't have an internet connection? What if you don't have an always-on internet connection at your home? You're screwed!

I reserved the retail version of this game, but even retail versions will need internet access all the time. Knowing this, I will cancel the pre-order. We, the customers have the power to say no to things like this and to stop the cluster fuck companies like these are doing to their customers. I will do my part.
