A Look at MGS3 Snake Eater Remake

Hope it plays better than the original with its awful menus, combat and controls where managing Snake was 5 times more complex than flying a plane in Microsoft flight simulator.

I'll buy it. I've only played MGS2 and 3 so I would've preferred a remake of the first, but I still remember 3 fondly even if I didn't like it as much as #2.

Chronological story order is a good way to do it.

This is easily the most sold I've been on this remake. Still have some reservations but they are starting to win me over.

The remake looks like it's shaping up nicely. I like that there is no release date because that may be indicative of giving the team all the time that they need to do a good job. Metal Gear Solid 3 is my least favorite of the numbered entries (V notwithstanding as I have yet to play that one), but if the remake is half decent, I would gladly replay it again.

MGS4 is the best of them all and I think Konami is working on a port with the 2nd volume of the collection that will for the first time be playable on all consoles and unlocked from PS3.

This does not look as bad as I thought it would personally. I'm interested but I don't trust Konami. Need to see more.


After seeing how they treated Silent Hill 2's remake I'm definitely not giving them the benefit of the doubt here especially with a garbage dev like Virtuous behind a project.

I wish they would change it to put in the dog tag system from MGS2 instead of that frog nonsense it was replaced with. I got all the dog tags, played it like 5 times on every difficulty.

Make MGS3 as replayable as that game was please. I feel like in other aspects MGS3 is the better game without question. But getting those dog tags and the rewards for it was super compelling as a reason to 100% it. But I only played MGS3 once and was done....
