It takes a little time to get used to the combat system. Once you get used to it and done getting most of the abilities, the gameplay becomes much enjoyable. Level design is pretty balanced and the art style is great. And l love the true ending.
Absolutely beautiful. Gameplay isn’t perfect, but the bgm, art style and story killed it. It’s a gorgeous game that drags you completely into its world.
There aren’t any melee attacks nor finishing moves in re2 and you need a lot of ammo to finish a single enemy. Also no ammo drop after killing an enemy. Which means the play style is totally different. In this game you have to get past a lot of enemies without killing them, only stunning them or else you’d be out of ammo. I prefer the revelation series and re6 combat system more. I recommend buying unlock infinity weapon dlc if you’re getting this game.
It’s fun at the first 3-4 hours, after that you don’t want to open the game again. I just finished the anime before playing the game. Was a huge fan… but the repetitive stage design and buggy combat are really a massive letdown.
And if you’ve bought the dlc, just play through the levels with Rocket Billy. He’s more well designed than Grave.
Easier than devil may cry’s main series. Easier combat, controls, enemies, and combos. If you’re new to the franchise, this is a great gateway game. Too bad the sequel got cancelled. I like the characters and settings though, I think people need to acknowledge this Dante is different from the original Dante. Both are great, just don’t compare them.
