I really enjoyed my time with this game. I played it 6 years after release without any bias. It is a fantastic 3D platformer, possibly one of the best ever. Cappy takes this game up a notch with the capture ability. The levels are fantastic. Enemy variety is phenomenal. It’s a little short, but for me that’s preferred. Some may like to spend more time with it.

A fantastic Spider-Man experience. The web-slinging is done perfectly and can be therapeutic at times. The combat has a rhythm that lets you duck in and out smoothly like Spider-Man would. The suits are low key one of the best parts about the whole game. They bring back some great Spidey swag.

This is a vanilla Pokemon experience that has no fat on its bones. Simple and to the point. It has been iterated upon so much since the original release that it can be hard to go back to. Thankfully, the game holds up and is still a good Pokemon experience.

This game took the mechanics of Persona to a whole new level. You are really put in to the shoes of a kid living in downtown Tokyo. The combat is flawless. The combos are synergistic. The dungeons are a breath of fresh air for classic Zelda fans. Make no mistake, where this game shines is the time management spent between your personal life, school, and vigilantism. A phenomenal game. My only critique is the villains’ motivations often come up a little flat. There’s so much more to this game that makes this small aspect a nitpick at best.

Ghost of Tsushima takes what every open world game did before it and refines it to perfection. Less about checklists on a map and more about stumbling upon stories and obscure locations naturally. This game does not punish you in the way a FromSoft game would. You increasingly feel like your time and effort transform you in to an unstoppable force yet it never feels easy. My only critique is that I wish there were a “Noble” route where I could retain my honor playing as a Samurai. I was role playing this way majority of the game for my own fun. This would add better replayability to the game like the developer’s inFAMOUS titles. Still, anything less than a 10/10 would be disrespectful.

The perfect Fire Emblem game in my opinion. Playing the life of a teacher instead of a student in the Persona format is a game changer. I found this game so immersive because of the way you feel a part of the monastery. This is a time management RPG of the highest class.

An amazing game with a very original concept. You are inside (literally) your PS5! This game reminds me of Psychonauts with the way you go inside your PS5 to its different regions. You visit each hardware component like “GPU Jungle” for example. The DualSense controller is on full display as well. A stellar platformer with tons of playstation cameos and nostalgia.
