Can't find known-hosts file on customer-hosted Looker instance

I have been trying to troubleshoot an issue with our SFTP deliveries according to the above support article, but I am unable to find a .ssh directory or known-hosts file on our Looker VM.

Is it possible that Looker uses a different file name or stores known-hosts fingerprints somewhere else?

Based on https://cloud.google.com/looker/docs/managing-business-user-features#storing_sftp_fingerprints: "All SFTP fingerprints are kept in the file ~/.ssh/known-hosts on the Looker server." 

Could you share the commands you're using to access the .ssh directory?
