They still say it’s September and industry is scheduled until September 29 so maybe it’s their first Thursday show?
I like the idea of keeping their big Max-esque IP shows on Thursdays. It was the date for Max premieres anyway so that’s the day audiences are expecting those shows anyways plus helps linear HBO keep an identity for their weekend programming.
Thursday – Blockbuster shows

Fridays – Bill Maher and indie comedy
Saturdays – movies and sports
Sunday – traditional HBO & John Oliver
Mondays – international exports / co-productions.July 11, 2024 at 11:24 am #1205882702Thursdays would be cool, let’s wait and see, the Dune prequel could air thursdays after The Penguin too.

I liked season one but I think it can be better and I’m really hopeful season 2 can reach its full potential.

Silo, Interview with the Vampire and Pachinko would all benefit from that.

For Vince Gilligan’s Wycaro? I thought that wrapped up filming in September — it should be ready for the 2025 season, no?

1. Bella Ramsey – The Last of Us: WINNER
2. Rhea Seehorn – Wycaro 339

5. Diego Luna – Andor
6. Sam Reid – Interview with a Vampire7. Anthony Starr – The Boys
8. Rufus Sewell – The Diplomat
9. Gary Oldman – Slow HorsesThis is assuming TWL submits all its actors in Supporting like last time.
Series definitely feels too genre-y (6/8…) but what can you do when that’s what 99% of the heavy hitters being produced today are? I’m just gonna chalk it up to a sign of the times and not think about it too much.
Actor is also giving me a lot of pause (the double IWAV boys when even 1 should be a pipe dream LMFAO) but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Starr won’t be able to sustain his buzz for 1.5 years I don’t think and Sewell doesn’t feel like a realistic option outside of a random guild here or there. Hopefully some more shows pop up tho! Initially I thought Beef 2 could fill this category up nicely but that won’t be ready before ‘26 so wtv. And Goggins for TWL could still be a player. Plus Sterling K Brown if Paradise hits.
LMK if I’m missing anything big!

Where is Pedro Pascal? He’s definitely not going supporting

Will Pedro Pascal be in lead or supporting? Considering how the story of TLOU2 goes.
Apple has a show coming out called Our Friends and Neighbors starring Jon Hamm that is intended to be an ongoing drama. I believe its been filming since April. Hopefully Pachinko will be able to get noms. I am curious about if Richard Gadd’s HBO/BBC drama will be ready on-time; there hasn’t been any casting announced yet but it has apparently been in development since before Baby Reindeer released. Am also curious if FX picked up the Ethan Hawke-starring A Sensitive Kind from Sterlin Harjo. I know the pilot was filmed in Oklahoma over the winter.
