In general (I’ve been looking at all the award nominees across Oscars/Globes/Emmys/CCA/SAG over the last 10-12 years recently) I think this is broadly true across voting bodies.
That said, this tends to play out in a few different ways that suggest there may just be a generational disinterest. Search on both IMDB (public) and Luminate (50% of that metric is trade searches) tend to be very low for men in these age groups, which isn’t necessarily mirrored in the historical search methods on IMDB for older men at similar ages (which go all the way back to 1997). They also err much less photographed both in the wild and in professional shoots.
turning 29 or under, 2024: 14 men, 38 women
turning 30-39, 2024: 66 men, 98 women
turning 40-49, 2024: 127 men, 111 women
turning 50-59, 2024: 109 men, 94 women
turning 60-69, 2024: 78 men, 50 women
turning 70-79, 2024: 76 men, 42 women (still exceeding men in their 30s)
turning 70-79, 2024: 42 men, 23 women (still exceeding men in their 20s)
turning 80-89, 2024: 23 men, 5 women (still exceeding men in their 20s)
turning 90-99, 2024: 1 man, 6 women (note I only included people who had not died)
There’s a flip over once you get to Gen X (born 1980 or later)
