I see a scenario where she could happen

Also I see a scenario where gets the same treatment as Zhao Shu-zhen for The Farewell

    And Awkwafina.

    The Sunne in Splendour.

Sadly Didi won’t be Focus first, nor second priority this year

Those spots belong to Conclave and Nosferatu, with Rosellini being heavily campaigned for supporting actress.

Also, I read Focus will be distributing Anora in UK and many parts of Europe, so no priority for Didi overseas

Well, many academy voters love those feel good movies, like Lady Bird and Coda

    Joan might surprise us.

If the academy didn’t have many frontrunners like those already

I think Joan Chen is not to be underestimated. Phenomenal performance in Didi and the passion for her is amazing. Shes been slaying the industry for over 5 decades she truly deserves recognition.

This, this, this and this. Give her the nom, you f-ckers.

    The Sunne in Splendour.

People who read the book said Sister Agnes character is not a big part of the story, maybe they can adapt it differently here, but the trailer doesn’t show it

This quote from the Vanity Fair article intrigued me: “Sister Agnes, for instance, is a minor character on the page who becomes a kind of ally to Lawrence. But Berger knew what he had in her portrayer, Isabella Rossellini, and emphasized her steely turn in careful, revealing camerawork. ‘The difficult thing about this role is that she embodies staying in the background, staying invisible, serving the men—the oldest patriarch in the world is still ruling, and she’s at the core of its crumbling foundations,’ Berger says. ‘For the most part in the movie, she’s quietly sitting in the background, and yet we keep looking at her—because it’s Isabella.’ When she finally gets her moment to speak up? Watch out.

I’d be more confident if the material of what the book was based on, was critically acclaimed

But it had more mixed reviews

I think the Conclave trailer is superb.

Unless the movie turns out to be a mess, I feel very confident about Isabella Rossellini.

Let’s not forget she’s the daughter of Ingrid Bergman and is a screen legend in her own right that has somehow eluded an Oscar nomination her entire career.

It’s time for “Academy Award nominee Isabella Rossellini”.

Oscar predicting is best when everyone tries to be really chill about it

Darling, nobody in that cheap money grabbing judy garland prequel will be nominated for acting. Just be realistic.

What an awful trailer for Conclave 💀

I was surprised to enjoy All Quiet on the Western Front because both Jack and All My Loving are pretentious and lack uniqueness, arthouse 101 material. I see he went back to his roots with Conclave. Catholic architecture doing all the heavy lifting for this lackluster cinematography.

That said, Isabella Rossellini should be a light in the role, as always.

This is just Clayton throwing darts at the wall. There’s no confirmation here.
    Gaga will go lead.

What an awful trailer for Conclave

it doesn’t let us know the plot, neither give us enough interest to find out
