It’s been enough time passed and with early Oscar talk, There’s time for potiential Razzie talk as well, I’ll be throwing specific noms later in this thread but for now I wanted to label the potential contenders for the award show that has come out for now being….
Argylle
Drugstore June
Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
Imaginary
Irish Wish
Madame Web (this one feels the most obvious contender)
Megamind vs. The Doom Syndicate
Miller’s Girl
Night Swim
Peter Five Eight
Ricky Stanicky
The Painter
The Truth vs Alex Jones (Solely just for them to nom Alex Jones in Worst Actor like with other documentaries)
This Is Me…Now
Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey IIThese are the films that have come out for now that have been notable, as always there’s probably gonna be more and like last year, def expecting people’s opinions on early predictions soon!
ReplyApril 2, 2024 at 3:10 pm #1205792972Madame Web has already won this. Unless Dinesh D’Souza decides to release another travesty.

April 2, 2024 at 3:14 pm #1205792985I could honestly see Megamind vs. the Doom Syndicate winning for Worst Sequel given the very strong reception against it

I don’t know. Sure Megamind has a cult following but the sequel wasn’t released in mainstream theaters and is generally not known among the general populist, so I doubt that the Razzies would take notice, especially since they generally do not nominate stuff like that.
ReplyCopy URLFYC: Dune: Part Two and Inside Out 2 in every category
(Inside Out 2 SHOULD WIN Adapted Screenplay no questions asked)April 3, 2024 at 4:54 pm #1205794150A few I hated:
Lousy Carter
Founders DayNot sure if anyone else saw these but they were pretty bad in my opinion. The list above by dragonsblood though hits the nail on the head so far.
Also a few potential contenders on the horizon:

Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter’s Dead
Woody Woodpecker Goes to Camp
Karate Kid
Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver
Tarot
Not Another Church Movie
The Garfield Movie
Terrifier 3
Venom: The Last DanceApril 3, 2024 at 4:56 pm #1205794153I don’t know. I could see it happening given the cult following of the franchise. Imagine if the DM/Minions people were ever to make such a horrible addition to the franchise. It would get nominated in a second.

Venom: The Last DanceI think for the future as well to note is Kraven The Hunter, Sean McNamara’s Reagan which seems to get a release date after development hell, Harold and the Purple Crayon, and Whitebird

I havent heard of the other ones but have hopes for Krvven the Hunter.
ReplyCopy URLApril 4, 2024 at 10:23 pm #1205795313There’s also Asphalt City with Academy Award winner Sean Penn, but it isn’t notorious enough to stand out from the pack. Also, Jagged Edge Productions are giving us more cannon fodder in the form of Bambi: The Reckoning.
ReplyCopy URLApril 6, 2024 at 11:10 am #1205796423Let’s factor in Winnie the pooh Blood and honey 2 big time. Somehow its better than the first one. But still has the same problems. These can be salvagable if tey stick to the cool storyline they added (No spoilers) but they do that then its back to the normal stupidity. Add smart characters for the third one lol
ReplyCopy URLApril 6, 2024 at 2:19 pm #1205796530It’s election year so: they could nominate the Donald J. Trump Biopic in everything. The Donald J. Trump Biopic is going to Cannes or Venice

I feel The Apprentice is more Oscar talk than Razzie mainly because it’s not politically produced nor a documentary that the Razzies could do their blank as blank. If anything it’ll be some obscure right wing documentary or something like Alex Jones VS The Truth just to nom Alex Jones for something

We will see. In election year: they could make fun of Trump just because most people in Arts dislike Trump
ReplyCopy URLApril 7, 2024 at 3:52 pm #1205797236I prefer not to see the Trump movie at all to be honest. Just no need for it as we are living the hellscape with the real one
ReplyCopy URLApril 7, 2024 at 8:04 pm #1205797332Red One should be considered since its star recently announced he was turning his back on the United States and democracy.
