Community is everything

At Gen, we’re passionate about improving the communities in which we live and work. Inspired by a rich culture of giving we encourage teams to make a difference through a range of initiatives.

In November 2022, shaped by employee interests and feedback, we launched the Gen Giving Hub through Benevity — a digital platform which makes it easy to find volunteering, giving and educational opportunities.

We also continued our partnership with Visit.org, which offers meaningful volunteer and educational experiences that align with our values and social impact strategy.

Gen hosts 31 events across 14 locations during Global Volunteer Week

Gen employees around the world came together to participate in Global Volunteer Week. The events ranged in supporting a diverse range of nonprofits, bringing health, hygiene, education and environmental resources to global communities. We partnered with nonprofits and ran in-person volunteering in India, Ireland, Czech Republic, and the U.S., as well as three virtual events.

Highlights02

Find out how we’ve empowered employees to give their time, money and expertise to the causes they care about in 2023

We participate in Matching Grants by giving one corporate dollar for every dollar donated by a Gen employee annually and regularly deliver 2:1 and 3:1 matching campaigns such as a 3:1 match during Giving Tuesday. In 2023, we increased our Dollars for Doers match to a $20 donation for every hour of volunteer service from an employee, and opened these donations to any qualified organization.
