Prime Day 3D printer deals: FAQ

When will the Prime Day 3D printer deals end?

Prime Day 3D printer deals and discounts will end today July 17, as it's when Amazon's brief summer discount period comes to a close. However, some deals may linger for an extra day or two, and other retailers and 3D printer manufacturers may also be running their own sales to get in on the action. They may run on different dates, so great offers might be available even when Prime Day is officially over.

Do I need a Prime membership for Prime Day 3D printer deals?

As the name would suggest, you will need a subscription to Amazon Prime if you want the best discounts. Fortunately, you can get a 30-day free trial and still make the most of those reductions.

In addition, rival retailers and 3D printer manufacturers like Anycubic or Elegoo usually provide sales of their own. Naturally, you don't need a Prime membership for those offers.

Get a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime
As you can probably guess from the 'Prime Day' part of this event, you will need an Amazon Prime membership to take advantage of the best discounts. Luckily enough, there's a free trial that you can use during the sale. Just make sure you cancel before that $14.99 / £7.99 per-month cost lands if you don't want to subscribe long-term.

How do I know if the Prime Day 3D printer deals are actually good?

Because we've been covering this beat for quite some time, our bargain-hunting team will never post anything on this guide that we don't legitimately think is a good saving. With that in mind, you can be rest assured that anything found here will at least be half decent.

Want to check for yourself? Very sensible. If you're shopping on Amazon, the best way to see whether a deal is actually good or not is to visit price-matching services like Camelcamelcamel. This will tell you what the historic low is, the item's average cost, and when it last saw a cut.

Where will I find the best Prime Day 3D Printer deals?

Even though you'll find the official Prime Day 3D printer deals at Amazon, it's well worth checking in with the official manufacturers too. Creality, Anycubic, Elegoo, Phrozen, and the rest almost always have a sale to match Prime - and very often, the deals are actually better.

Should I wait for Black Friday?

There are plenty of great 3D printer discounts during November's sales-geddon, and it's true that the best ones are reserved for Black Friday itself. Nevertheless, that isn't to say you're better off waiting. There can be some real corkers during the Prime Day event (albeit fewer of them, admittedly), so it's still worth keeping an eye out during these final hours of the event.

What to expect from 2024's Prime Day 3D printer deals

Prime Day usually does a great job of discounting tech, be it Amazon devices like Kindles or laptops... and 3D printers are absolutely included in those savings.

You can always rely on lesser-known manufacturers to hawk their wares during Amazon's sale, and these clog up the listings. Be aware that you'll need to trawl through these to strike gold. However, major brands also get involved, and their Prime Day 3D printer deals are consistently good. Actually, some include record-low prices (often thanks to the addition of on-page vouchers, as seen last year in the UK with the Anycubic Photon Mono 2).

I'd definitely recommend keeping an eye on major manufacturer sites as well, though. While Amazon's offers are decent, Anycubic, Elegoo, Creality, Phrozen, and the rest always provide cracking discounts to compete with them. This includes hot-off-the-press machines that have only just come out.

Based on the pattern of previous sales, I suspect that the machines getting the biggest price cuts during the final day of Prime Day will be 2023 and 2022's heavy hitters. That means the likes of the Anycubic Photon Mono M5s, Elegoo Saturn 3 Ultra, and Creality Ender 5-S1 should be in line for massive reductions as manufacturers clear the decks for newer replacements.
