The First Descendant Release Date Is Very Soon

As part of Summer Game Fest, Nexon announced the release date for its free-to-play third-person shooter The First Descendant and published a brand-new trailer. The game launches on July 2 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

The First Descendant puts you in the armored boots of a titular Descendent as you fight back against the invading forces of The Vulgus, standing as humanity's last line of defense on the continent of Ingris. Take a look at the new trailer below.

The First Descendant was developed using Epic's Unreal Engine 5. Nexon held multiple beta tests for the game to gather feedback and data. The game was originally targeted to launch in 2023 before shifting to 2024.

Another Nexon game was on display at Summer Game Fest as well. The Finals, a free-to-play shooter made by former Battlefield developers at DICE, is launching its new Season 3 update on June 13.
