The Boys Cast Reacts To The End Of The Series After Season 5

Jack Quaid and a few other members of The Boys cast share their thoughts about the show coming to an end.

Earlier this week, Prime Video announced that The Boys will come to an end after five seasons. Ironically, the news came just a few days after series creator Erick Kripke said the show might go beyond five seasons. Now that the word is out, a few members of The Boys' cast have shared their thoughts about the end of the series on social media.

Jack Quaid, who portrays Hughie, was among the first cast members to react. He also assured fans that ending after Season 5 was always the plan.

Quaid's co-star and on-screen love-interest, Erin Moriarty, also acknowledged the news on her Instagram. The actress who plays Annie January/Starlight wrote, "We love this show too much to not end it on a high note. When the mastermind behind it all [Kripke] expresses his master plan to conclude this wild ride after five seasons, you trust. Consider it our version of giving you guys a 'happy ending.' In the meantime, see you in two days for the penultimate."

Marvin T. Milk/M.M. actor Laz Alonso shared a similar sentiment on his Instagram account.

Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko Miyashiro, reposted Alonso's message and added that she did so "because I get too emotional thinking about a final season. It's been such an incredible journey and I love this family more than words can describe. In two days, we bring you Season 4, the beginning of the end of a fun and insane ride!"

The Boys Season 4 will premiere on Prime Video on June 13. The fifth season doesn't currently have a release date.
