MLB The Show 23's Five 99 Rating Players Have Been Revealed

MLB The Show 23 developer Sony San Diego Studio has revealed the five players who received the top rating in the upcoming game.

Sony San Diego Studio has started to reveal player ratings for MLB The Show 23, starting with the players who have received a 99 rating, the highest possible rating. In MLB The Show 23, five players have received the highest rating possible and the developers have shared some other high-ranking players as well.

Five players received the 99 rating for MLB The Show 23, the first of which is reigning American League MVP Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees. Former MVP Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Angels and Texas Rangers starting pitcher Jacob deGrom also received the max 99 rating. Rounding out the 99 club is reigning National League MVP Paul Goldschmidt of the St. Louis Cardinals and Mike Trout, who also plays for the Angels.

San Diego Studio also revealed a few of the top rated players that didn't quite make the max rating of 99. Justin Verlander of the New York Mets received a 98, Mookie Betts of the Los Angeles Dodgers received a 96, Max Scherzer of the Mets also received a 96, and Corbin Burnes of the Milwaukee Brewers received a 95. A few other highlights include Bryce Harper of the Philadelphia Phillies with a 95, Manny Machado of the San Diego Padres at 95, and reigning National League Rookie of the Year Michael Harris II of the Atlanta Braves received an 89 overall rating.

Sony San Diego Studio will continue to reveal player ratings and overall team ratings ahead of the launch of MLB The Show 23, which releases on March 28 on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. MLB The Show 23 will also be launching as part of Xbox Game Pass.
