Call Of Duty Adding Patriotic Uncle Sam Operator For 4th Of July

Uncle Sam is coming to Call of Duty.

Activision is preparing to celebrate America's upcoming birthday with a patriotic DLC bundle for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone. Say hello to the Uncle Sam Tracer Pack, a new bundle featuring the iconic bearded American man.

The bundle hasn't officially been announced yet, but fans discovered it through a datamining effort from the game's latest patch. We don't know too much about the bundle, but it seems like it will include Uncle Sam as a playable operator. Given it's a tracer pack, fans can likely expect red, white, and blue bullet tracers and other items themed around America and patriotism. Here's a first look at the bundle:

Call of Duty is known for its wacky and over-the-top DLC operators--as well as its grounded, realistic operators based on real-world soldiers--and the Uncle Sam bundle definitely leans into the sillier side of Call of Duty. Presumably this bundle will be available in time for the 4th of July holiday in America. If it's similar to other tracer packs, it should sell for around $20 USD.

Uncle Sam, for anyone unaware, represents America and has been used for more than 100 years as a military-recruitment tool. As such, it fits tonally with Call of Duty and perhaps practically, too, as the US Army is known to use Call of Duty as a recruitment tool.

In other Call of Duty DLC news, the game's arcade-inspired store bundle--which turns your soldier into an 8-bit murderer, is now available from the in-game store.
