AirMech Arena
Likely inspired by Japanese cartoons of the past, AirMech: Arena puts you in control of a giant transforming mech in a situation that will be familiar to real-time strategy and MOBA fans. Players control a mech, which can transform between a flying vehicle and a walking robot, and command armies for a tactical action experience.
The goal is traditional real time strategy fare: protect your own base and take down your opponent’s encampment. AirMech: Arena can be played competitively either 1 v. 1, 2 v. 2, or 3 v. 3. Additionally, there are cooperative modes where players can team up with a friend against A.I. opponents, or play a survival mode where up to four players can hunker down to secure their fortress from incoming enemies. Players have nine different mechs to choose from, each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Additionally there is a challenge mode full of time trials, as well as a spectator mode.
AirMech: Arena will be free-to-play and will be coming to Xbox 360 this summer. The game purports to have numerous unlockable units, upgrades, special items, and customs skins.
