Letter: A weighty matter for the books editor

The “What to read this summer” feature (Books, Life & Arts, FT Weekend, June 22) provides a helpful summary of all those books which I have forgotten to note from previous months. But it does not mention that most of the books are hardbacks — and weighty ones too!

If, on my holidays, I wish to peruse Carlo Scarpa: The Complete Buildings, I will need a donkey too to help me out with any other titles!

Can I suggest a sprinkling of paperbacks for those readers like myself, who are yet to acquire said beast nor have access to a private jet?
