On Sunday's #Mediabuzz 11 ET:

Ben Domenech said that it is “absurd” that media are now denying Kamala Harris’ ‘border czar’ title because “everybody understands” that the vice president “actually had this responsibility. She did a terrible job.” He also said that coverage in major media went from discussing how to “replace [Kamala Harris] with someone who would make a more effective running mate for Joe Biden” to talking about how “awesome” she is now that she is the presumptive Democratic nominee following Biden’s withdrawal from the race.

Laura Fink said that Kamala Harris has “earned” her favorable coverage through “the skill with which she’s executed [her campaign] and the way that she’s harnessed that media attention.” She also said, “Trump is a fundamentally weak candidate because he is undisciplined. He cannot execute on message.”

Caroline Downey said that “legacy media and the White House” shifted from praising Biden’s cogency to now claiming “Biden is a hero for stepping down because he’s so dangerously infirm.”

Ameshia Cross said that President Biden “made the right decision” to bow out of the presidential race, and Kamala Harris is “the best possible person to lead and carry that mantle.”

Aishah Hasnie said that now-former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle’s testimony in a House Oversight Committee hearing was “brutal” and she “didn’t know the answer” to central questions involving the security failures that led to the assassination attempt of Donald Trump. She also said that FBI Director Christopher Wray said “the worst thing he could have said” in a House Judiciary Committee hearing when he raised doubt about whether the former president was struck by a bullet.
