Fighting games have been blessed with some incredible art over the years. We of course are celebrating that this year with the brand new art gallery on the showfloor (more information coming soon), but also with some of our featured guests.

We are proud to welcome 3 featured artists to the Evo showfloor this year.

Hideo Minaba - Art Director for GBVSR

Born in Tokyo on August 2, 1971, Minaba began his career at Square Co., Ltd. (now Square Enix Co., Ltd.) at the age of 19, where he would eventually become art director of the Final Fantasy series. After going independent, he helped found Designation Co., Ltd. and CyDesignation Inc., where he served as character designer for Granblue Fantasy in addition to his many other roles.

Shoichi Kitazono - 2D artist for Guilty Gear

Joining Arc System Works in 2019, Kitazono has been in charge of 2D designs, including key art and concept designs, for Guilty Gear -Strive-.

Genki Mamada - Environment Artist for Guilty Gear

Mamada joined Arc System Works in 2006. Starting with Guilty Gear XX Accent Core, he has worked on various fighting games as lead Environment Artist. Since the release of Guilty Gear Xrd -Sign- in 2011, he has been in charge of creating the backgrounds for the Guilty Gear series.

All 3 will have times set for meet and greets and signings at their respective developer booths over the course of the weekend.
