There are few things more satisfying to do in a game - and in real-life actually - than kick things. For example, I've just been kicking a door at an Anger Foot event on Brighton seafront. It was an intentional thing! Devolver had set up a door with a kick-plate controller so we could replicate the feel of hoofing enemies down corridors, as you do in the game. I wasn't just kicking someone's door in! It was fun, just like it's fun to kick a football, just like it's fun to kick a plastic bottle and pretend it's a football. Just like it's fun to kick a lot of things - not that it's always OK to kick a lot of things. But that's where games come in. Games have their own rules, which is why in them, the kick can be unleashed. We've had some wonderful kicks in games over the years, but the question is, which is the best?
