No, Cape Cod and Cape Town don't count. Nor does Geoff Capes. So: capes! Long the symbol of regality and status. Long the piece of RPG paraphernalia you drape around your character with which to declare they are somebody, a notable person in this world. But it's not only RPGs that use them. What would a superhero game be without them? Capes frame the spectacular. They are the visual flourish that gives majesty to Superman as he streaks through the air and his cape flaps in the slipstream behind him. How fast he must be flying! They are the swoosh that accompanies martial prowess. They are decoration to fill comic panels. Capes are extraordinary. But which capes in games are the best?
