Description

'Skytrain to Joyous Mind Station' (previously called 'Skytrain' in 2010) is finally done! :D The color is not what I imagine since it very different from the original one. But it's another accomplishment for me, to paint a CG full-scale illustration.

Take me a whole week to finish, tinkering to the point which I realize that I need to move on to next project.

The [Process] album and backstory about this illustration will follow shortly at my Facebook Page : [link]

First off, this is a great piece!! Your sense of lighting is fantastic! I only have a few bits of critique for you, that will hopefully help.

The sky: I love the way you've painted it. The only thing that I question is the time of day; the lighting is so strong that I assume it's dusk and the sun is setting. Because of this, I would say to add just a LITTLE bit of yellow into the clouds.

The clock pole: I wish that the base of the pole extended outside the picture so that you didn't have to see it. It creates this little gap between the base and the edge of the border, which makes my eye get stuck. I think if you brought that out of the piece, it would make it flow easier. Also, maybe make the pole a little skinnier?

The guy with the purple striped shirt: He's a bit off anatomically. I think it's because his torso is too long...

The three people furthest away: Starting with the one with the green bookbag and the two nearest: if you blur them out a little more, it'll add more depth of atmospheric perspective, and make it that much more realistic.

Otherwise, everything else is pretty solid. I especially love the reflection of the subway window... the texture you added to the concrete is also a nice touch! Great job!!!! Di mak!!! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
