Police seeking information about kittens killed after being thrown from moving car in Naugatuck

Police are seeking witnesses who may have information about kittens allegedly thrown from a moving car in Naugatuck on Monday morning.

Around 9:45 a.m. on Monday, officers received reports that two kittens were thrown from a car driving south in the area of North Church Street and Route 63, according to the Naugatuck Police Department.

Officer reportedly located two kittens, approximately 4 to 5 months old, dead on the road, police said.

Witnesses told officers that an older white female with white hair was driving a maroon sedan when the kittens were allegedly thrown from the driver’s side door, according to police. In between the suspected car and the witness’s car was allegedly a black car that swerved to avoid hitting the kittens. Police said they are trying to find the driver of the black car to get more information on what they may have witnessed.
