Overall, the ProForm was very good. Data Display: The ProForm has a 22" touchscreen display for connected classes and display of session data, and the screen rotates for off-bike exercises, with many different exercise programs available through its subscription service iFit (1 year family membership is included with purchase; $39/month or $396/year after the first year). It uses Wi-Fi to connect to the internet. The display shows numerical resistance, cadence, speed, time, wattage, and an estimate of calories burned. Exercise programs can automatically adjust resistance, but manual changes to resistance require using the touchscreen rather than a manual knob and can be a bit tricky while riding. Users can create custom routes using Google Maps that show images of the route. Screen allows browsing but does not support all sites (Consumer Reports, yes; Netflix, no). Features: Has toe cages for use with other shoes, but lacks attachment point for use with bike shoes. Can display heart rate by connecting with an optional heart rate monitor. Handlebars and seat heights adjust in 1 inch steps, and either may come out when being adjusted higher. Horizontal seat position is more finely adjustable, but handlebars don't move horizontally. Has a single bottle holder, and a place to store the included 3-pound dumbbells. BUT: The bike requires AC power for data display and to adjust resistance levels, and so cannot be used without power. Surprisingly, it lacks an on-off switch - bike must be plugged in to turn on, and un-plugged to turn off. Handlebars have a flatter angle, which may make some grips less comfortable. Bike is difficult to move from the front.
