VinFast is a Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer that is new to the U.S. market. The parent company, VinGroup, has a number of brands under its aegis—VinHomes, VinBigData, VinBioCare, and VinBrain, among others. It has its fingers in many pies, from technology and medicine to corporate services. VinFast has announced plans to invest $4 billion in a manufacturing plant in North Carolina.
