The EQB is an EV version of the conventional gas-powered Mercedes GLB compact SUV. It is also the company's least expensive EV.
Mercedes-Benz says that the EQB can deliver up to 250 miles of driving range in the base version. The EQB's looks and functionality are a similar to its gasoline-powered fraternal twin with easy access, clear visibility, a tiny optional third row seat, and controls that are complex and distracting. The base model is a front-wheel-drive only. Higher trims get dual motors that endow the car with AWD. The EQB comes standard with a suite of active safety features, including AEB, BSW, and LKA, as well as a voice-activated infotainment system and an augmented reality navigation system that superimposes navigational directions upon images of the streets outside the vehicle.
