    Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Jeep Vehicles Recalled Due to Potential Airbag Issue

    The front-seat airbags may not deploy in certain models

    Chrysler is recalling 332,000 Alfa Romeo, Fiat, and Jeep models because the front-seat airbag may not deploy as intended in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

    The automaker is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this issue.

    The Details

    Vehicles recalled: 2017-2024 Alfa Romeo Giulia, 2018-2025 Alfa Romeo Stelvio, 2024 Fiat 500E, 2019-2023 Fiat 500X, and 2019–2023 Jeep Renegade.

    The problem: An improperly connected seat belt buckle switch sensor may prevent the front-seat airbag from deploying as intended, increasing risk of injury in a crash.

    The fix: Dealers will repair the faulty connection free of charge. The automaker is notifying owners of potentially affected vehicles by mail.
