    Current Model
Redesigned for 2025, the Buick Enclave is again positioned as the upscale sibling to the Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Acadia. This three-row SUV makes notable advances in technology, with a massive 30-inch dash-mounted screen, standard Bose audio system, and a robust suite of active safety features.
Plus it is the first Buick with Super Cruise, GM's hands-free active driving assistance system, and it is fitted to all trim levels. The Enclave ditches the trusty 3.6-liter V6 for a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It is again offered in front- and all-wheel drive. The top Avenir trim comes with an adaptive suspension.

    2024
Recently freshened, the large Enclave has a revised exterior, and most of the active safety features that were previously optional have become standard. It is a quiet, comfortable, and responsive three-row SUV.
Power comes from a lively 3.6-liter V6 teamed with a smooth nine-speed automatic. We got only 18 mpg overall in our tests, however, which is unimpressive. Towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. The roomy cabin is very quiet, and the ride is comfortable, befitting Buick's flagship. The third-row seat is relatively spacious for the class. The infotainment system is easy to use, and connectivity features abound. The new electronic gear selector is improved but still requires looking down at it to select the right gear. Highway-speed AEB is optional.

    2018 Redesign Year
Redesigned for 2018, the Enclave provided improved fuel economy, more space, and a variety of safety and connectivity features. Power comes from a lively 3.6-liter V6 teamed with a smooth, responsive nine-speed automatic.
We got 18 mpg overall in our tests. Towing capacity is 5,000 pounds. The roomy cabin is very quiet and the ride is comfortable, befitting a Buick flagship. The third-row seat is relatively roomy for the class. The infotainment system is easy to use, but the unintuitive gear selector is a nuisance in parking maneuvers. A manual sunshade for the sunroof and only a two-way lumbar adjustment for the seat are odd, given the price. The Enclave is freshened for 2022 with a number of exterior styling updates. Forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, blind spot warning and rear cross traffic warning become standard. Highway-speed automatic emergency braking is available. Other changes include a new rear power sunshade for the available power moonroof, revised seat trim and seat foam, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

The Buick Enclave is a large, car-based SUV with three rows of seats. It shares a platform with the Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia, and Saturn Outlook.
All use GM's contemporary 3.6-liter V6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that is a bit hesitant to downshift. We found the ride comfortable and quiet, and the powertrain smooth. Handling is secure and pretty agile for such a big vehicle. The third-row seat is roomy enough for adults. Fit and finish are excellent. Fuel economy was slightly worse in the heavier Enclave than in our tested Traverse. A revised version with an improved infotainment system and the industry's first center airbag between the front seats debuted for 2013.
