The dual-touchscreen control interface is daunting at first but isn't too difficult to master. An RS Q8 super-high-performance version with a twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine is also available. AEB with pedestrian and cyclist detection, BSW, and RCTW come standard.

The Q8 features standard forward collision warning and automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection; blind spot warning and rear cross traffic warning were made standard starting in 2021.
