Clever plot points and beautiful design choices make this preschool series stand out. Creating a world where kids still play outside and do research in the library, Hop finds a way to be nostalgic and timeless at the same time. Parents familiar with Arthur will find the visuals reminiscent of simpler times, a refreshing break from the abundance of CGI content. Kids who are more quiet and reflective will appreciate the show's steady pace and poignant sound effects, which highlight the story but don't distract. Overall, Hop offers a solid option for parents looking to expose their kids to meaningful storytelling that sparks conversation about sharing, accepting help, and dealing when things don't go as planned.
