Very nice comedy movie, it is a must-see for kids. Very colourful, fun and the songs arevery good. Has mild violence and fear, but should be okay for kids.

A great family movie- exactly what Hollywood needed!

As a person who loves the original Willy Wonka (the Gene Wilder one) I was VERY skeptical. I thought it was going to be a nostalgia driven movie where the plot runs on nostalgia alone. I was WRONG! I highly enjoyed it. Appropriate for all ages (though I don’t think anyone below the age of 8 will understand it). The story was great and had hit close to home (I loved seeing the friendship between Wonka and Noodle). It was pretty funny with a lot of slapstick humor. There were jokes about a chocoholic cleric and chocoholic monks. That was pretty funny. Anyways, I don’t have gripes it’s just pure, sweet fun. Oh and if you love the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka you might tear up at the ending. (I did) Overall I highly recommend. THIS is what a family movie is supposed to be!

Incredible!

Wonka is a wonderful movie. As someone who has loved the original for a very long time, this does the original movie so much justice. The songs in this movie are incredible and incredibly catchy as long as the creative story behind it. The acting is absolutely phenomenal as well. I 100% recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of the original movie.

Not Great

Not a great movie, acting was not great, if you enjoy musicals, youd somewhat enjoy this. Was an extreme downgrade from the original Willy Wonka movies. Was not an original idea, just felt like milking a franchise. Seeing Mr. Bean in this film was the only thing saving it from 1 star. if you are sensitive to hearing someone gag or pretending to throw up, some scenes depict this after one of the main antagonists hears the word "poor." Acting was poor, and the whole movie felt cheap. Felt cheated when I saw how good the reviews for this movie was here, so I thought it would be nice to give it a try, but was really disappointed. Just a cash grab in my opinion. Did have the typical main character fighting a sleazy business, so it’s an okay film for your kids.

Criminal cartel disguised as chocolatiers

I found this terrifying it was about modern slavery in the laundry room and drug cartels disguised as chocolatiers I thought it was a kids movie I had nightmares for weeks. Wonka is a terrible role model as he can't read just choco maker. Also he colonised oompa lumps land.

This title has:

  • Too much violence
  • Too much consumerism
  • Too much drinking/drugs/smoking
