One of the simplest ways to not only add a bit of extra security and convenience to your home is to get a video doorbell. And right now, our favorite video doorbell is down to its best ever price at Amazon. Regularly $130, the Arlo Video Doorbell 2K is currently just $80 there, a price drop of $50. The deal is being matched at Best Buy, too.

The Arlo Video Doorbell 2K, as its name suggests, is capable of 2K video feeds, meaning you'll easily be able to see what's outside and who's coming to your door with no issues. It has an impressive 180-degree field of view, which means it can watch the whole porch, and it even comes with night vision as well.

Hey, did you know? CNET Deals texts are free, easy and save you money.

On top of that, it has two-way audio so you can chat to the delivery driver to ask them to leave your package somewhere safe, a siren to help scare off local wildlife or people you don't want to see, and it has motion detection as well, allowing it to send you real-time alerts when you're in or out of the house. It can be used on battery power alone or you can hardwire it in if you don't want to worry about recharging it at all.

While this doorbell works without a subscription, you can unlock some advanced functionality like custom person, animal, vehicle and package alerts, as well as cloud recordings, with Arlo Secure. A 30-day free trial is included if you want to test it out, but note that it will cost $8 a month for a single camera after that.
