Get the Kindle Scribe at an All-Time Low Price Today During Amazon Prime Day
Prime members can score some serious Kindle savings during Amazon's Prime Day event. You can snag the Kindle Scribe for just $235, but you'll need to act fast.
An Amazon Kindle e-reader is an easy way to keep your entire reading list in one place. The Kindle Scribe goes one step further and lets you take notes directly on the paper-like display. For a limited time during Prime Day, readers who love to jot down their thoughts or scribble can get a Kindle Scribe for a new low price of just $235, down from its usual $340. This is the lowest price we've seen for the Kindle Scribe, and it probably won't last long. Today is the second and final day of the Amazon Prime sale, so you may want to snag this deal before it ends.
In his testing, CNET's David Carnoy found that the Kindle Scribe "strikes a very good balance between a large-format e-reader and an E Ink note-taking tablet." It has a 300 pixel-per-inch, front-lit, 10.2-inch, E Ink touchscreen with adjustable warm light and can provide weeks of battery life on a single charge. It's the largest Kindle ever, but still weighs in at just under a pound. While that certainly makes it portable, you will probably want to invest in a cover that can double as a stand -- which you'll have to buy separately.

Depending on the model you get, your Scribe will come with either a standard or premium stylus. Each will adhere magnetically to the side of your Scribe and require neither power nor Bluetooth connectivity, so you'll never have to charge it. The higher-end pen essentially works like a regular pencil -- it even has a built-in eraser -- and has a programmable button. You can use the stylus to mark up PDFs, and sending those documents to the device itself is easy. Note, however, that you cannot mark up Kindle ebooks or DRM-free ePub ebooks. Essentially you'll be adding "sticky notes" to anything other than a PDF.
If you want the lowest price on this device, you'll want to go for the model with the Basic Pen, which is available for $235 (save $105) and comes with 16GB of storage. There's also the Premium Pen option, which is available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB configurations.
