We, the undersigned, are asking the Los Angeles City Council District 5 to name the intersection of Rochester Street and Westwood Blvd. as Mahsa Amini Square. The neighborhood, celebrate the Persian Community of Los Angeles and the concentration of Persian residents and business in this area.
On December 14th, 2022, the West Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce unanimously approved a motion to name the intersection of Rochester Street and Westwood Blvd. as Mahsa Amini Square. A request was sent to Los Angeles City Council District 5 for consideration of this important motion. 
This motion is a gesture to honor Mahsa Amini, a 22 years old Iranian woman, and thousands of other courageous Iranian protesters who have been imprisoned, tortured, killed and executed for demonstration for their basic rights in the streets of Iran by the brutal Islamic Republic of Iran. 
We urge the  Los Angeles City Council District 5 to join the global fight against human rights abuse in Iran
